Early Daoist texts describe breathing techniques as a way to preserve health, harmonize with nature, and cultivate longevity. Breathwork is considered one of the three pillars of Qigong practice. The breath is not just a biological function but a vehicle for cultivating and regulating vital energy.
In this one hour class we will explore Qigong Breathing in the IIT Way - working from the structural/biomechanical, to the energetic to the spiritual. Priming the system for change and learning. Empowering wellness, invigorating youth and sparking vitality.
In this class, we will sample some of highlights from this breathwork system.
Explore the movement mechanics of breath, fill out the full breathing body
Learn to pressurize and utilize the abdomen
Apply breathwork to Qigong Daoyin's
Develop tools to gain access to aspects of mind.
